About Refine Beauty Aesthetics

I started my nursing career over 10 years ago now which in itself just seems wild! I qualified from the University of Dundee and had several different high pressure jobs from the wards, agency and critical care environments to build a foundation of knowledge and experience.

 

I am an overachiever! I love a challenge and I always want to learn. Doing my advanced practice PGDip encouraged me to see how far I could go, and to think about what next. I love my job in the NHS and will continue to do this, but I knew I wanted to continue to help people. A lot of my role is fixing (or attempting), and I wanted to do something that would look at the positives and of course help people.

I stumbled across aesthetics if I'm 100% honest, but as soon as I did I was hooked. Doing the training was a total eye opener and honestly I love looking at a face and tweaking or improving if needed. I am very much a 'less is more' woman and will never be seen to be producing over filled areas. I just want to focus on making people feel more confident in their own skin, whatever way that may be.

Building the clinic has been an absolute whirlwind but 100% worth it. I have created a safe, private, clean space that is easily accessible and exactly how I pictured it. Getting my registration from Healthcare Improvement Scotland was a big pinch me moment that I will always be proud of.

In terms of aesthetics in general, you will often see me posting about training days, conferences and more. I love learning, and grab every opportunity I can to improve. Treatments I love doing has to be the OG anti-wrinkle BUT I think my new favourite might be polynucleotides. Regenerative medicine is so exciting!
